The EPAC 2024 exam was held on Thu 10 Oct 24 – Part 1: 1000-1130 CET – 90 mins, Part 2: 1400-1600 CET – 120 mins. If you want to try yourself, see here for two files in English: EPAC-1 (2024), EPAC-2 (2024). The text was manually extracted from my WISEflow answers, so let us know if anything is missing.
- A better mix of questions than previous years, with more administrator questions and lighter legal questions.
- One question in Part 1 looks like it was copied from an EPO marketing brochure😉.
- The time available seemed reasonable on both parts. I ran out of time on Part 2.
- The extra 30 mins for Part 1 was much appreciated – it gave more time to think. I cannot imagine trying to do it in 60 mins like in 2023.
- I still struggle with the required detail for the open questions. The number of marks helps, but if there are more than one sub-question, it is still not clear.
- The PCT Applicants Guide available via External References was the EQE Candidate version of 31 Oct 2023.
- The 2025 EPO Closing Days distributed just a few days before the exam was luckily also available in the External References. But I still miss a simple calendar in WISEflow so that I can check for weekends.
- I noticed that it is now possible to open large PDF’s, like the EPO Guidelines, and to search them using the “magnifying glass” icon. For some reason, you need to click on the search button twice with each new query.
- Still no possibility to arrange tabs side-by-side. As a workaround, the notepad can be made tall and skinny and text from a tab can be copied in it for side-by-side comparison with your answer.
- Still no possibility to upload personal pdf’s for use during the exam, e.g. a Kindle-app in WISEflow.

Really enjoyed your breakdown and commentary — the way you walk through your thoughts on the EPAC 10 content makes it easy to understand your perspective, even if someone isn’t deeply familiar with the topic yet. Clear, structured thoughts like that make complex topics feel more approachable. That kind of clarity matters in many areas: for example, I recently came across HVAC Bros (http://www.thehvacbros.com
) and appreciated how they explain their services in a straightforward way. Good communication builds confidence, whether in tech updates or everyday services.
Thanks for sharing your reflections — it’s refreshing to see someone engage with technical content while still keeping the tone personable. Your honest commentary about what worked and what didn’t really helps guide readers. It reminded me how simplicity and sincerity can be powerful: I read a post called “Sad Bio for Instagram” (https://instatexthub.com/sad-bio-for-instagram/
) recently, and it highlighted how genuine expression often resonates more than overly-ornate language. Your notes have that same grounded, honest feel.
Informative piece — I appreciate how you take a complex topic and break it down with thoughtful comments that help the reader follow along. Along those lines, I also came across an article titled “Instagram Bio for Boys” (Instagram Bio for Boys) and it made me think about how even short pieces of writing (like a bio or a blog comment) can communicate identity and intent. Your structured commentary here does something similar — it shows clear thought, purpose, and voice.
